Beyond Measurement

Beyond Measurement

A Poem by Brian Kraklau

_Beyond measurement_

Some dreams are worth keeping
Locked in some dark cupboard
Gleaming in its brilliant meaning
Surrounded in quiet clutter
Beyond all lively measure

Yeah, the roads may seem desolate
Tough stones and buried treasure
Sediment left by some other testament
Heavy as a raven's feather
Beyond all lively measure

Come on
Sit down
Come on
And listen for the sound
This is where you belong
On the streams of hope
Faith fathomed on her tip toe
Running as he hung his cut rope
Where there was no picture hung
Beyond all lively measure

On the fiery wings of society
These feet dance the soul-lover
Kindly drenched the taste of sobriety
Only god knows he loves her
Beyond all lively measure.
