A Life Full Of Love

I dedicate this poem to my amazing boyfriend, Dustin Reichmuth. He is my inspiration.

 

Late night conversations,

Midnight dances.

Love letters to and from,

For years yet to come.

 

It all started that one night,

With a little red rose.

You were the only one in my sight,

I wanted you to love and to hold.

 

Singing each other to sleep,

Wishing each other sweet dreams.

Rocking out with each other on the radio,

Falling asleep to your voice on the phone.

 

With all of our adventures,

Comes many traditions.

Now I can venture,

Into a world full of ambition.

 

I know this is real,

My regrets? There are none.

I can't wait for the day you kneel,

For you are the one.

 

Knowing you're there by my side,

Every day and every night.

For the rest of my life,

You're the one I call mine.

Very simple poem that works very well I think. The feeling that was intended definitely comes across. I smiled at the line 'Rocking out with each other on the radio' - because love is about enjoying the company and not just the sweet nothings and cuteness. Good poem :)
