Inspiring Inspiration

Inspire, inspiring, and inspiration. Three different words, with three completely different meanings.

 

Inspiration is everywhere,

In a person's eyes.

Floating around in the air,

It's never hard to find.

 

Being inspired is easy,

You just look up to someone.

Someone who may speak to you deeply,

Or just someone who is someone.

 

Being inspiring is the hard part,

You have to reach out to people.

Show them what's truly in your heart,

To inspire, you need to show people how you really feel.

 

Inspire, inspired, and inspiring are three different words,

With three different meanings.

Some people in the world are left unheard,

We just have to listen and let them explain their demeaning.

I really enjoyed reading this. Inspiration is everywhere, but I personally haven't quite grasped where to look for it. Yet. Your piece really got me thinking, so well done :) A really great poem, and you should be proud. The simple structure made it easy to absorb, and you chose a meaning that really helped me get on with my current writing project. I got some pretty great mental imaged through reading this, and the the overall effect was really quite empowering :) To improve, you could have used some more language features (simalies, metaphors etc) but this is a really lovely piece :) v well done.

I love the flow of it, you explain the words clearly and it's simple and very easy to read. I like this style of poem because it's not telling anyone anything new, but it is pointing out something that people should pay more attention to or think about. You sum everything up in the last stanza which gives a good message. I like it, a lot. :)

Everybody needs inspiration sometimes. I'm under the impression that your words inspire people, and you do a good job at portraying your thoughts.
