Sly disappearance

I haven't seen you in quite sometime
Although every now and then
My mind catches your shadow
The slick slithery thing whisking away
I harden my grasp desperately trying to
Rekindle your photograph in my mind
Just before it appears you swipe away
Your fragments
Always leaving one behind
So I can glimpse your shadow another day
And you shall leave a memory
Lingering alone in my thoughts
