The Midnight Sky

The midnight sky is scared away by the sun as it rises and I watch. The light hurts my eyes but I can't turn away.

I wonder what you would say to me if you knew, I stayed up all night like we used to just to have the memories fill my heart and mind again. Pain spilling out of me into tears. Uncontrolable. Steaming with anger.

But my heart breaks knowing I still love you
