Left Alone to Fight Your Battles.

Left Alone to Fight Your Battles.

A Poem by BeatricePortinari.
"

Wrote this awkwardly in my school library.

"
Silence creeps up my spine,
In the silken robes of disease.
It leaves the skin to curl,
Beneath its cool stare

My fingers will hit the wood.
Again, once more, in succession.
A small noise will rebound against
The lovely, empty walls,
And leave me to drown in the to
Wordless oil of my own demise.

I'll inhale deeply,
The poison reaching its claws into my lungs
Caressing, for one sweet moment,
My
Heart.

I've been here for a long time,
The battle of evil you preech
Slinking, higher, now, reaching toward my ears...
So I'll blow a kiss of things left undone,
And dive, my lovely,
Right.
On.
In.

The words flow so sweetly off my mind :) You made a smooth poem without forcing a rhyme. I applaud that :)
