Am I?

Am I?

A Poem by BeatricePortinari.
"

Product of lovesickness and some sad country music(:

"
He touches his lips to the hollow of her neck-
Your very bones are a painting.
The air is warm and her skin is cold,
Gooseflesh covers the curves of her satin legs.
So you believe in fairytales, sir?
Sir?  My lady, we're intertwined,
His eyes, green as her lies, caressed her body like the wind,
HIs touch was soft and fleeting and she pulled herself away.
The creamy fabric of skin clung to her body,
Her bones shifting under a veil of raven hair as she stood,
HIs hand falling against her shadows.
That naked body of hers made it to the sill,
The ancient window looked upon a stormy sea,
Yes, love, we are intertwined...
The sheets pulled over his body like a promise of death,
Do you wish to be farther lost, darling?
Are you in such a position to oblige?
To lose me?
Yourself?
In a moment, I'd lose myself in you.
Promises, sir, to let yourself fall away?
Love, the edge of his voice was honey in spring flowers,
Isn't about losing yourself, simply forgetting a skin for a moment,
An hour, and lifetime lived and died in moments.
She bit her lip as the sun set beneath a broiling ocean,
Am I to give myself to you?
On an elbow her said to the lovely curves of her lovelier back,
Simply lend it to me for a few moments, love.
Night fell the infallible tone of her hair;
Against the woolen sheets were shadows of two bodies, already lost...
