Worthy

To someone who has shown the most care than anyone ever thought of showing me (best to read while listening to the song "This is why I need you")

you have been there for me even when I didn't pick you.
you have been there when I broke down in tears due to pain.
you have been there for me so many times and for so long.

its scary you know, how much you mean to me.

its scary to think about if this will stop one day.

I can be myself around you.
you understand when I need space, instead of pressing me for information you give me the alone time I need.

you listen to everything I say.
you pay attention.
you always show me compassion and love and I can never tell you just how thankful I am that you are in my life.

for when I see you I become speechless and nervous.
so in three simple words.
I love you.

There is a line from the movie fight club that this poem reminded me of . . . "when people think you're dying they really listen... instead of waiting for their turn to talk"

It's not easy to find what you described. Not truly anyway... we are all fakes, self promoters and liars to some degree or another until we find true love. Even then, I don't think most people in 'love" are truly in love like that.
