I'm here

I'm here

A Poem by BrotherJackman
"

For those of you that know me, know this; you are worth this much to me. For those that have other deep friends, let them know they are worth this much to you.

"

On a ledge half way down a cliff,

you hold tight to be sure not to fall.

I hear your pleas, "Don't let me slip!"

"I won't, I'm here", is all I call.

Step by step, I climb down.

My heart pounds in a fright.

I hear you cry, "Please! save me now!"

"I will, I'm here", is my reply.

Breath in, breath out, it's myself I hear.

Just don't look down, just one more step.

I hear you scream, "Your almost here!"

"Don't fret, I'm here", You're in my grip.

I hold you tight on the cliff's ledge.

We push back up the steep ascent.

I hear you cry, "You came for me."

"I did, I'm here", my words came and went.

I pushed you to the top, but I,

I slipped, you did not see me fall.

No longer will I hear you cry.

To save another's life, you have to risk it all
