                         Ask An Atheist Day

                      So I think i will.
How does it feel, to be happened by chance?
Explain the scientific properties of love and romance.
How does it feel, that when you die, you are no more?
Who will you cry out to, with death at your door?
How does it feel, to appear soooooo smart?
While you entertain the beast and sporting of  his mark.
How does it feel, to always need proof?
The sand is in the hour glass, and you`re soul on mute.
How does it feel, to look sooooooo cool?
You have taken Him from the classroom,
and they are shooting up the schools!
How does it feel, to mock and poke fun?
You think i am foolish for believing,
in the Father and His Son.
So i have to ask you.
                      How does it feel?
                      I have not a clue.
How do you find purpose  in anything you do?
It is written ,if you love me My commands will set you free!
You`re  like an empty  vessel sailing across the sea.
So i have to ask you, how does it feel?

It feels like the blind who could never see, where lost vision is clouding the sea.
But I am not an atheist so I cannot answer fairly, how it feels to drift across an ocean of black, especially knowing that there is no way back. But what of a man who once knew his way.
What would you ask of him, for he at least he tried, not throw his life away.
What of the sighted man who has surveyed all before him?
Would one ask him how feels to be blind, when he knows nothing of the darkened spirit in his mind.
Perhaps the question then best asked is; What of the dreams of the eye that sees not? Liquified morsels of phantoms of thought!

This is an incredible piece my friend. I enjoyed reading it very much.

My apologies if the inspired above is a bit disturbing. I mean it not to be and I am sure I don't have to tell you that whenever inspiration comes calling, it is best to answer right away...!

They can't answer because they are slaves in the tyranny of fact based reality and do not trust in things as unverifiable as feelings. Enjoyed the read.

I have faith, though I know some who do not - and if you asked them these questions, they would say that they are fine with these things. I like this poem - for me, these questions serve to give my own faith a boost - but I think you would be disappointed in the answers you'd get from your intended audience.

A thought provoking piece indeed and flowing readable poetry. In terms of the subject I have noted that some people have to belive to give them strength. A bit like children and fairytales, but you expect children to grow away from such fantasies and begin to believe in reality. Why would a person have to believe to be happy and sound? That is an assumption. I know people from my home town who see soccer as their religion and they believe passionately in it. I know people who are fervent religious fanatics but they still do people down at work or in sport. Religion is not everyone's cup of tea. And as to the question who do they cry out to on their deathbed, the answer is no one as they don't blame someone else for creating the world and all its misery!
