The Angel Of My Life.

                             The Angel Of My Life

On a dusty bus, Angelo bound.
Faith in the Lord,  in His love i stand  ground.
No knowledge of what i had in store.
I met a redhead, her smile i adored.
                   As friends we became close.
We formed a pair, and our love grew.
When i look into her eyes i see a glow.
Its the resonating of passion that comes from deep with in her soul.
This angel, this angel of my life.
                   She became my soul mate.
God had granted me the perfect wife.
Oh my angel, the angel of my life.
We are mostly happy with very little strife.
At the setting of the sun,
to its rising the next day.
The Lord knew what He was doing when he nudged you my way.
My angel, the angel of my life,
                   is my wife.

God has so consecrated the covenant of marriage that in it is reflected His love for and unity with His church. It certainly seems you recognize God as a partner in your marriage. And every wife should have a husband who writes such lovely poetry about her. Very well done!

I am watching my son travel this path right now and this poem reminds me so much of him and how he is blessed. I was raised "heathen" I suppose - and so I and my husband tried to raise our spawn with Christian values as active members of a local church. Our elder was never looking for the girl he met - who is also Christian - beautiful, kind and she adores him. That is how it should work - it makes life so much easier. Such a lovely write.
