Lost Light

A poem I wrote in fourth grade or maybe third....

One light, shines white,

On the only night,

When I thought I knew,

What I was meant to do,

But now it's dark, I can't see

Because my life's unclear.

Clouded by so many fears

Gone now, I've lost my light

There's no way I can find my way

I've waited so long to leave this world I've known.

Now I'm lost, the rain has come

Now I don't know where to go

The color's fading fast

Along this broken path

I follow it hoping soon I will find my light.

I was told when a star is lit you're there

But now I don't see any stars so your gone, your gone

You left me alone to lose my faith

With the darkness closing in on me

I'm lost without the light.
