Dear Society

Dear Society,

I have a small message for you.

You see,

all those lies will never be true.

To fit-in,

I must live in front of the dressing table.

Eliminate flaws,

and fit into a size 6 designer label.

I did

all you insisted and so much more.

It changed

me inside and out to fit a foreign decor

The lies-

now indistinguishable from the truth

The honesty-

Stripped from my once pure youth

Should I

be grateful for the sheep I have grown to be?

Should I

embrace this voice-less existence and just agree?

I write

to you with fragments of gratitude.

Individuality gone,

all that remains is a sheep's attitude.

So I revised an old poem called 'dear life' and i intend to send this to a college news paper and i want every little bit of help i can get to polish it up.
But first of all, I want to know your opinion on if i should send it or not?

This is a very outspoken piece that gives another voice to the "sheep" of society. I think you should send it.

Love this creativity. I love how you are writing ot life itself for messing things up and leaving you feel like a lost lamb. Just another sheep among the masses. Great inspiring piece.
