Walls That Bind

Walls That Bind

A Poem by Bubo
"

A reminder to myself of the day I was born 13/11/1963..............

"

The walls that bind

                      squeezing

                              seizing

                                     freedom lost

                                             demons soaking blood

                                   rich blue we mingle

                          just for a while

                   interlude not of love

       suffocating inside

swim against internal lies

                                     fused

                                               to late for scraping tools

                                                       caged in watery pool

                                                            above bulging breasts swing

                                                      cervix tightens grip

swayed into curve of her hip

                                a time to breathe

                        a time to stay still

                    quiet

   linger between no where

                                 and everywhere

                                                drifting gently from anywhere

                                                                                 But here

                                                                    in existence

                                                 to know, but not know

                                  the vibrating heart's lullaby

                          to blink, and see nothing

                 shadows of darkness guide

                       thrust in denial

                              pitiful in mute cry

                                       evidence in flesh testifies

                                            destiny in small chapters

                                                an unwanted gift unwrapped

                                                       trapped within hidden mind

                       I arrive

Ohhhh, I absolutely love this, even though you've now gotten me scared on every fetus' behalf.
You've taken something most people regard as amazing and turned it into something horrible. At least it sounds horrible for this poor fella.

And I gotta say; good job on making that figure out of the poem. Real good job.

The emblematic and creative expressiveness within the flow of your bountifully stunning write reminded me of this quotation by William MacNeile Dixon, (1866-1946;a British author and academic);

“Birth is the sudden opening of a window, through which you look out upon a stupendous prospect. For what has happened? A miracle! You have exchanged nothing for the possibility of everything.”

A joy to read.

I'm left word-less and drifting through a million thoughts, a trillion emotions. I know poetry is powerful when it does that to me.

I've done so much bawling in the past few days that I was actually able to read this piece without welling up...sorta.
its a brutal write and unfortunately all too true. In my core, I get this piece and I wish I didn't, if that makes sense.

Amazing…
Images you have chosen …
It is really amazing…
Strikes at the anvil of heart…..
Shakes the whole life..
I am not flattering…
