The Act of Falling

The Act of Falling

A Poem by Bullet Soul

Once upon a time
I held you in my arms
As the night sang us to sleep
And the moon played us a melody

The angels played their harps
We could hear them from the Heavens
As you dried my tears
And in love with you I fell

No walking, no jumping, no crawling...
In the end there's only falling.

We sang lyrics no one could understand
But we knew the words deep in our souls
And even if we didn't
The music was enough.

The martyrs cried their tears
We could hear them from the Heavens
As you dried my own
And in love with you I fell

No walking, no jumping, no crawling...
In the end there's only falling.

Darling, you promised me forever
But we're standing on the edge
You said we'd stay together
But I think this is the end...

Cause in the end there's no walking
No jumping and no crawling
Darling, when it comes to love
You know there's only falling.
