Valentine's dedication to my wife (2013)

 

Your wall meets my wall

graffiti'd up for the date

fearful of another fall

we build them up as we conversate

 

just want to lay down in love

float on top of its bliss

lay down in love, caressed by favor

embrace each blessed kiss

 

busty conversations led to lusty rubble

mistrust of past led to anxiety and trouble

blessed determination from your heart to mine

found trust in the dust our struggle left behind

 

and we found us

a singular power that was blessed with trust

attacked by anxiety we always must

lean on faith and the blueprint discussed

 

that floorplan of sincerity

trust, sweet devotion, intimacy

we build up new walls about us

with windows for all others to see

how real love takes

our passion

our understanding

our creative ecstacy

keeping fears in check

unchanged love for you
