Brain Salad Barbecue

Brain Salad Barbecue

A Poem by William B. Burkholder

Potato can dip skins
Sour cream chitlins
funny bones and ribeye
barbecue on friday nigh.
steamers, creamers,
smorgasboard.
Cant you tell that I'm quite bored?
Random ilk from trash compactor.
sour milk, bovine reactor,
calling farmer in the dell
to lift this manic random spell
Robin eggs and hamster bacon
Pan is hot let's get to bakin
No its true that I'm not fakin
a bag of crumbs primed for shakin
Yes its crazy, and yes I'm quaken
straps too tight, the cage is shakin
thorazine summer, fun in the sun
mind blown biscuits poppin gun
dough brain misfit oozing life...
