How much I try.

I try,

To be pretty

To be smart,

To be the best,

To give it my all.

To be happy,

To be liked,

To make you happy,

To do it all

I try to be perfect

I wouldn't say that, it articulates a lot in a few words in a very forceful way, maybe because of the repetition of "to be." And the feelings expressed are almost universal.
