Lost

Lost

A Poem by Bushra Naqshbandi

Still remember the way you entered my life,
Still remember the way you became my life.
You chose someone else, I lost the right to love you,
You are still my life, so how do I live without you?

A storm in my heart rages and rain pours from my eyes,
My silent screams are like thunder and stormy winds my sighs.
You love someone else so why do I still think of you,
My tears do not stop when I've lost the right to cry for you.

People do not understand why I'm sad or why my face is tear-stained,
The problem is that you're altered but my feelings for you are unchanged.
Even after such bitter disappointments I refuse to believe we can't get through,
How can I, after all, I can't survive as I've already lost myself somewhere in you...

I wish i would've looked at your poems sooner, but i'm glad i did now. they're great, but this is my favorite one, i especially like this part

A storm in my heart rages and rain pours from my eyes,
My silent screams are like thunder and stormy winds my sighs.
You love someone else so why do I still think of you,
My tears do not stop when I've lost the right to cry for you.

Really great flow and a smartly written poem,

deals with the most painful thing on this earth----How to survive when I don't have a heart?
I have already given mine to him.
Sadness expressed out in an open, raw form
The background of thunder, tears and storm just adds more to the level of misery already being experienced by the speaker.
A raw write-up.Nice thing:)

This speaks of a pain which echoes through the ages and will always reverberate with anyone who has ever lived and loved (the latter being the unfortunate curse that accompanies the former).
There should always be something positive to be said for clear, heart-felt lyrical poetry - this poem provokes that positivity. But that doesn't mean, of course, that all poems in this sense are effective, unfortunately.
So full marks for the effectiveness you have instilled in your words here; they do justice to the universal feelings they evoke. This is made with feeling, and that feeling does not usurp intelligence.

"People do not understand why I'm sad or why my face is tear-stained,
The problem is that you're altered but my feelings for you are unchanged. "

The above two lines I quote here to justify my comments.

Thank you so much for such a positive and commending review. It made my day! :)
What a deep write my friend! I love the way you express the love for someone who has already moved on. Love does not just die away as we wish... many times that love lingers... and sometimes when the other person moves on it lingers and stings that much more. You expressed that perfectly in this write and gave the reader a perfect understanding of the hurt and pain either you or the character are in. Beautiful write... I loved it :)

"A storm in my heart rages and rain pours from my eyes, " I really admire the way of presentation. Words designed beautifully to heart out a feeling.
