Autumn

Vibrant sunbeams gleaming,

Giving beauty to autumn skies.

Kisses from the breeze,

A tender caress of the cheek.

 

Cool and brisk, lingers softly

Leaves dance to their own music.

Falling, twisting and spinning

As they float gently downward.

 

Sweet aromas stay all season

Freshly baked pumpkin pies,

Sitting atop every window sill

Beckoning noses in its fragrant path.

 

Gaia's palatte of lemon drop,

Mixed with a touch of orange

Giving a sense of warmth

In deep burgundy, a seasonal wonder.

This is a perfect poem. Beautiful and imaginative, while very interesting with the way it draws you in. I can find nothing wrong with it. People often use the setting of autamn for poetry, but this surpases that. This is better, and I don't say that stuff to just anyone.

this is quite lovely....I do think that it would read better by altering LINGERS to LINGERING...Cool and brisk, lingering softly; leaves dance to their own music...What do YOU think?
