My Love, My Valentine

Something for Valentine's Day....with a little tribute to those broken and lonely hearts

Yellow and orange glows, fluttering

In the soft breezes of whispers

The sweet nothings we feel in heart

For each other on this one special day.

 

A remembrance of love, written in the stars

As the love birds sing their own tune

Swaying the notes of their beating hearts

Beneath the spotlight of the glowing moon.

 

We must remember not to forget

Those broken and lonely hearts

And wipe the tears for their crying eyes

For someone they hold close, but remain so far.

 

Spreading rose petals across the floor

Of this chaotic world, the need to be loved.

Til the last candle stops burning, and the last rose dies

In my heart, you will remain - My love, my valentine.

For the record, I am one of those broken, lonely hearts no pun intended. lol. So I know the hatred of this day, for sure!

Have you tried healing a broken heart and restoring it back to its original condition? Perhaps we could do more. Happy Valentine.

Such a heartfelt piece and ode to this day. (I do personally don't like valentine's day) but that's just me... this write, stands for all the people, who are loving, even on distance, and even the ones who are not with us anymore. Hats off to you xx
