Russian Roulette

Russian Roulette

A Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*

One bullet to the head....

That's all it takes
As I watch the six-cylinder spin

Like a pinwheel blowing in the wind.

Lost in a trance as it spins,

A life that spiraled out of control.

Out of the light, and into the darkness

Reality - the freedom to let it all go.

I think for a moment asking the same questions

This wasted excuse for a life, did it even matter?

Playing a sick and twisted game of love

Where I always feel like the loser.

Tempted into salvation,

A everlasting sensation - thoughts of death

Lingering above me like a black cloud

Calling my name from the shadows.

One bullet to the head...

That's all it takes.

As I watch the six-cylinder spin,

Slowly it stops and I pull the trigger.

Author's Note

*~*Butterfly Kisses*~*
I kept hearing the term "like a game of russian roulette" all week in school, so I decided to write something about it. Might use this for class.

Wanted the ending to be kind of open-ended for those that read it. I hope I succeeded with that. As always, I am open to suggestions.
