Dust

Forgotten unfinished writes that might never be finished.

 

 

 

 

Words penned on blank pages,

Softly spoken voices whisper

In the shadows within the coolness

Of a breeze caressing my cheeks.

 

Empty broken thoughts

Gone astray, never to seek life.

Reincarniation of timeless memories

Faded photographs engraved in my heart.

 

Sad melodies linger in the blackness,

Tales of love and laughter gone untold.

Imaginations that soared the horizons

Above and beyond universal skies.

 

Cautiously, I swipe the dust away

As I wonder if words once penned

Will ever find the chance to heard

For now, I wish them all a goodnight.

amazing, amazing, amazing, AMAZING .... Have i told you it's amazing? xD
It looks like you simply left your soul speak, but i can see you worked hard on it, great lexic, great metrica, great images spread all over the poem and you described perfectly a not-so-simple theme, there're lot of writings i start but never finishes, i wanted to write a poem for them ... well, i'm glad i didn't, because it wouldn't ever get any closer to the grandeur of this one :) One of my favourite poems, so far :)

PS: just a tip: stop putting images, your poems don't need'em !! They are incredibly beautiful even alone, they don't need to share the spotlight with any images :)
