Masked

Masked

A Poem by Broken Hearted Faux

There she goes
Walking by with
That mask of hers
One who's so strong
You can't see what she hides
You can't see her tears
Her loneliness
Her broken heart
She's an actress
In a world so dramatic
She plays her part so well
With every line memorized
You can't even tell it's practiced
And all you can see is her mask
The beautiful mask that hides all
That is shielding the girl of a shell
Empty and scarred
And she's wanted on center stage
To entertain the thousands around her
Suffocated, confused
But she takes a deep breath
And faces her crowd with brave tears

Another good write!

Loved the flow, rhythm of it as I read through it and I liked the concept of it. I also like the fitting title that you have for this story.
