Never to Be Let Go

What once was happy is sad

What once was sane is mad

What once was rich is poor

And now we must sleep on the floor

The children have no hand to hold

We have no love, no joy, no hope

We simply have no hope

This is the only song to sing,

Sung so mournful and low

For we are trapped, forever and ever

Never to be let go

My first poem here, and I know it's kind of depressing but I had this written from a while ago and it was the first thing I thought to post.
