What if humans were the same?

What if everyone's unique?

What humans were to blame?

What if life was bleak?

What animals had real souls?

What if humans couldn't feel?

What if a half was really whole?

What if love was real?

What if cities were burned down?

What if valleys were filled in?

What if a forest was a town?

What if tabby cats could grin?

What if a writer wrote good books?

What if a writer wrote bad books?

What if the fish kissed the hook?

What if hate is what we took?

What if a writer wrote a story

Where everything goes right?

Of common morning glory

Where the light is way too bright?

What if once, she decided

To play a little joke?

Make us think the character

Is the star, the foremost bloke?

When behind the scenes

Side character is

That's what she means

The crown is his

What if poems were way too easy

Way too easy for me?

What if all my grand old stories

Came naturally?

I think its cute! I think its great written, and counting syllables could also really help it flow! Like have the rhyme scheme correspond with the beat!

Yes, very true. Poetry is a struggle for me. Writing stories and novels is a way to make myself feel free. I need that freedom of saying anything I want and taking twists and turns based on what I feel like- which is why usually I don't share my stories. When I write poetry I feel I'm caged in- like I have guidelines and requirements, which, when it comes to writing, I hate. Poetry is a struggle for me, but at the same it's a great writing practice. Those requirements include a steady beat, most of the time a rhyme scheme, and a good flow. Thank you for your suggestion. It's inspired me to write more poetry because I've given up on the entire art of poetry simply because it takes work. I will now commit to exercising my writing skills and making it pitch perfect. Thank you, and have a most pleasurable evening.

See it's actually the opposite with me, I feel like poetry is the way to just simply state something, and you can make it however broad you want it- but in reality it holds the meaning of the world to yourself!
