Cherry Blossom Snowfall

Cherry Blossom Snowfall

A Poem by Chris C.
"

Coffee and free write this morning. My thoughts turn to life's changes.

"
If springtime was a state of mind, this place would be a dream.
And if winter was a memory, it would be frosted by thoughts of you.
So sing to me of seasons,
whisper softly to me of the changes that come creeping up on us so subtly,
and never let this moment fade.
I want to sit forever in this cherry blossom snowfall
and be content.

I am being showered too, Chris. I often sit with my coffee and just turn inward like this.

You stress an order inherent in nature, which means that the changes definitely seemed to be 'soft' and 'subtle' to me. I like how you add "never let this moment fade" as a counterpoint: a touch of ironic hyperbole to point out that some things will remain regardless of the natural order.
