I Wished Upon A Star

I Wished Upon A Star

A Poem by CreativeCookie
"

A poem that I really don't know where I got the idea for.

"

I Wished Upon A Star

I wished upon a star

With all of my young beliveing heart

I dreamed of my Prince Charming

I kissed a bunch of frogs

I fantasized about going to the glitter'n ball

Now, I know I was wrong

Life's not a fairytale

It's more like a dream

One of those where at some points you laugh

And at others you scream

There's no conqureing hero

No dragon you can fight to make it all right

I don't care what they say

There's no happily ever after at the end of the fray.

Very beautifully written. Life as a fairy tale seems to be a good representation
when we are young, youthful, and inexperienced with the realities that life can bring. Sometimes...well a lot of times, there is no happily ever after. Even when one does see it...a new challenge pops up...oh well so much for that happily ever after. Thank you for the poem.

Out of all your work, this one is my favorite! I love how it reflects actual life in a way. There is so much truth in it. I love it!
