Suckling at my breast
drinking in milk and love
a smile at the corners of your mouth
long-lashed eyes gazing into mine
tiny clever hands patting my arm,
reaching up to be kissed
warm slender little body
curving into mine
your fresh baby skin smelling so sweet
these moments are ours alone
