Of Me and You

Of Me and You

A Poem by Carrie Montgomery
"

~ looking at Kristofer...

"

A piece of me, a piece of you

his hair is blonde, his eyes are blue

now we're connected like never before

because we had him, I love you more

Together we'll raise him, and all will see

this beautiful product of you and me

our strengths, not weaknesses I hope we pass on

through him our legacy will never be gone

What will he become? Who will he be?

Will he sound like you? Will he look like me?

I hope he is big and strong like you

and like mine, I hope his heart is true

A piece of me a piece of you

his hair is blonde, his eyes are blue...

Carrie, this is so touching, and I definitely think this one is publishable. You should consider sending it in...maybe Parents Magazine? Not sure what qualifications are necessary? I also think I reviewed this BEFORE "The Great Delete" because I remember enjoying it the first time around. GREAT JOB, lady! (Love the picture of Kristofer as well). Really finishes it off with the perfect flair.

Hoping your fence turned out well and that you got your hanging planters in place...

Big Hugs! Carole

Beautiful beyond compare. How we we all have hopes and dreams of who our children will have what qualities we bare. He will have his blonde hair from you and his mind clever like his dad and an awesome loving heart that you both possess my friend Carrie. Loved the poem and will keep this one aside. smiles. HUGSxxxxAnne
