Tangled Vine

Tangled Vine

A Poem by Cindy
"

A breakup...what can I say :)

"

I wistfully reflect

Upon moments of bliss

Spent sweet and sublime

How our smoldered breath

Intertwined as one

Like tangled vines

We unraveled each other

With feathered kisses

We lay spellbound adrift

Now I am alone

Laying quietly still

I gaze at the sky

In bittersweet bewilderment

Of a love that once was

Outside my bedroom door

A barren wind now blows

Leaving no hint or trace

Of my once love perfumed room

This tangled vine of love

Leaves souls marooned

With token memories

And we forever bleed

In ruminating doubt

We retreat and concede

As we relinquish our love

To die on the vine

That last verse was special. It caught this poems essence. Thankyou

Jam packed with imagery and wonderful rhythm. Such a shame when all that is left of love is to rot you expressed that well here.
