Insane Patient

Insane Patient

A Poem by ChrisKeil

Lock me up in a all white room with my body tied

I got here because suicide is what I tried

stabbing myself twenty times felt so sweet

I rubed salt in the cuts to stimulate my physical treat

The police confiscated my knife I was happy to loan it

I wanted them to cut me since my hands are tied up at the moment

When I started to read this I am instantly picturing a really disturbed person lol....the imagery is a bit sickening...especially this line "I rubed salt in the cuts to stimulate my physical treat".

Yet, what a twist at the end...truly shows that seeing a mental person in action is not half as bad as seeing what is actually going on inside their head...good write!! keep it up ;)

I enjoyed this, instead of crazy, I felt that the narrator has this overwhelming desire to feel. As if they had become so numb that even pain was barely a sensation anymore. They crave the pain like a drug and just like drugs you have to have more and more to make you feel normal. Uncluttered and straight to the point, this style fits the topic well.

Bravo! Once again, you've done an excellent job. You truly have a knack for writing poetry, Chris. The imagery you attach to your words is am-a-zing. And I'm not just saying that. Good job. As always. This is definitely one of my favorites.

This kind of has an eerie vibe to it... So magnificently grim and twisted. Bravo.

Holy s**t. Pour whiskey on your wounds. That`s what I do.
