Wanna Fit In
A Poem by Caitlin.
Ever felt that you had no-where in life? Like you wanted to be in a clique but none were your style? That's what this poem is about.

Who am I kidding?
My worlds a mess,
All of this shit,
I can't seem to address.
My mind keeps running,
My legs stuck still,
Want to reach out,
Maybe I just will.
Wanna fit in,
Don't know how,
Plastics, Bimbos, Emos and Goths,
None are what I are.
Just keep drifting,
Through this thing called life,
Live it to the fullest,
All I can ask.

The feeling of not being able to fit into the puzzle of society, that's a feeling that I'm quite familiar with. It's no wonder that I appreciated this poem; it explains perfectly how it is to just not 'belong.' The truth in your poem, and the simplicity that truth is presented with, create a need in the reader. It causes the reader to look back at their own place, and think. "Do I belong?"
I did notice that the first two stanzas rhyme and the second two do not, and wasn't sure if that was intentional. It made the poem sound a bit off when read aloud, but that's the only thing I found in need of critiquing.
Well, I thought this was a great poem, and a very thoughtful write. Thank your for sharing.
