Going, Going

Going, Going

A Poem by Caius Frank
"

Caretaker of very sleepy dementia patient.

"

More sleep. More sleep...

Did we?

...We did.

Did we?

...Again.

But-

...we did,

I promise

I promise.

I watched my mother tend to my fading grandmother through self-overdosing of antidepressants like xanax and valium and increasing dementia. Answering the same questions again and then again.
