The Lion Man and I

Weak little lion man,

You're not as strong

As you once were.

That's okay though

Becase neither am I

So, let us take a walk

Under the star filled sky

And ponder perhaps

Why it is

That they get to be so beautiful

Up there

While everything down here

Is so ugly.

We can scream to the fireballs

About the unfairness of it all

Until my voice grows hoarse

And your mane grows thin

And we waste away

Into nothing

As many blind people before us

Have done.

Why is he with a lion man?

I liked it though, I liked the description of his voice growing hoarse as the lion's mane thins. That was great detail.

The Lion Man is the 'person' you encounter when you realize that everybody else in this world, whom you thought knew everything, actually knows nothing more than you do. That the world isn't as perfect or easy as they make it sound in school with facts. Living is alot more than factual. It is literal. Thank you for the review! :)
