Wise Words

Wise Words

A Poem by Carl

Wise words written

On a playground wall

Wise words written

In a spray can scrawl

Wise words written

For those in need

Wise words written

That all may read

Wise words written

That wars may cease

Wise words written

In a quest for peace

Wise words written

As solutions are sought

Wise words written

From those who fought

Wise words written

About a broken land

Wise words written

That we must understand

Wise words written

As black stands with white

Wise words written

As colours unite

Wise words written

About death and disease

Wise words written

A dying man's pleas

Wise words written

That say this is wrong

Wise words written

But not acted upon

Wise words written

On what the Earth has become

Wise words written

About the Moon and the Sun

Wise words written

About Space and Time

Wise words written

As we walk a thin line

Wise words written

On a playground wall

Wise words written

For the scholar and fool

Wise words written

After all's said and done

Wise words written

For everyone

Very simple repetitive structure which makes it hypnotic and strong. My only thought it that you may have spread your net too wide and have been even stronger to focus on one aspect of human existence.
Well done. You have done well!
Alan.
If you have any time would you mind looking at my story 'lost in a book'. Thanks!
