Grave Regrets

Grave Regrets

A Poem by Carrie Ann G

Those angelic blue

eyes in search of the woman

he thought he married

only to be left

under the frigid head-stone

unvisited for

twenty-some regrettable

years-is it too late

to say that “I am sorry?”

Carrie Ann G,
The complex layers of our inner hearts is so interesting to me. We all have a story to tell which gives commonality with one another. Pain is universal and is what is the opposite of the light of joy. Bless you. Your writing is very insightful.. Kathy

Such agony in such a short few amount of words
It is never too late to say I'm sorry even if that person is no longer with you saying sorry isn't truly for them it's for you
