Just Friends

You walk up to me

With that easy grin

I freeze and you say

''How have you been?''

One simple question

 Makes my heart race

I stutter and I falter

I go red in the face

You're smiling and you're talking

Like you don't even see

Like you don't even notice

I go weaker at the knees

I manage to respond

I nod a quick 'okay'

You're blind to all those shy looks

I'm sending your way

The talk is over and

You see another friend

You bid me sweet goodbye

Our moment is at end

At night I cannot sleep

As I lie in bed

I lie and think of everything

That you and I have said

And even if you don't know

All I feel for you

I am content with friendship

And I will make it do

This is a really nice read and it is truthful right down to the core! It really expresses how much it hurts to deal with friendship really after a relationhip! I love the flow and structure of this and I love love love this :D
