I Never Learn

I Never Learn

A Poem by Cassidy14

I can't get enough of you

The way you smile at my jokes

Your dazzling aurora

The way you draw me in

How I talked to you all the time

And you shared your secrets

I trusted you with my heart

And now I'm in pieces

Pick up my shattered remains

Tell me your still here

But instead you move on

My biggest fear

You said you loved me

I guess there goes my heart

Jut when I fell hard

You tore me apart

Left me bleeding on the ground

Nowhere to run or hide

Instead of kneeling down and helping me up

But you couldn't swallow your pride

Don't come back

I've learned your tricks

Now when I see you again

Guess who will be hit

Your smile still clouds my mind

Your humor still makes me weak

But your personality makes me turn away

In utter defeat

I'd rather go for someone who's ugly

Then like a player who lies

For the ugly will remain loyal

And the player will say his goodbyes

Go on with your ways

I'll stay here to yearn

For the next player who comes

For some reason I never learn

I know it's weird, but somebody I know is going through that right now. Looking on the situation, I can't help but take the role in a poem. Please, any advice for my needy friend? Thank you, because she won't listen to me....
