                Silence and listen

Old man sitting alone and he is talking to the wind.  Sending apologies to old memories.
Once a proud man filled with self-praise and goals. Today the goals mean nothing.
Pride just more sin to had swam in.

He learned to hold silence and listen. He had a wide open door for kids and family.
He don't visit the two brothers graves who believe death was sweeter than life.
He still don't understand how babies in life can find the rope a better place than being alive.

Hard life and times for people today. Old man learned. Listen to the people near. Don't give lectures and
no support. He looked at the eyes of children and friends. He listen now. He tell them it will be okay. Please call me if you need someone to talk to. I need you around for a long time. Old man wisdom. Money mean nothing when you are alone without brothers and friends.

The old man burned the sage. Whispered to the trees, the river and the earth. Take care of my dear brothers. I will join them soon. Death will come to all of us. I hope to see you soon.

Old Grandpa hugged his grandchildren.  He told his wild boy Jorge. Grandpa loved you when you are good or bad. He see his brothers now in his grandchildren. He watches them and listen. Ensure they know they are safe and will always have a place to go and be safe.

Today is a good day. He remembered two men who left his world too soon. He whispered to the wind. I miss your laughter and voices. I hope you are in a better place.

Today. Old man had a house filled with people. He don't complain. They are safe and sound. Old man know to hold silence and listen. Give hugs and positive words. Love, my friend. Must be expanded and kept strong.

well this Young woman Mindy McCready struggled
with Alcohol you will have to look her up she was in her
young 30's like me she shot her self I don't listen to her music
since that accident it is too Emotional to me I cry as I know we
don't go to a lovely place when we take our own lives I was so angry
for a long time when I got the news of her death but her
love also took his life also that's what was said.

I decided to listen to the song you got here
but I still cried and cried it is still so sad and depressing
thank for sharing though it is sensitive to me I think because
of losing ones close to me to suicide and there
was nothing we could do and that makes you more anger and
hurt even more and more everyday.

This was beautiful and sad but yes we should always
listen I have learned to do so and from my mistakes.

Thank you for sharing this Brilliant piece Enjoyable read.

Thank you Briana. I learn the hard way. Less talking and more listening.
Haunting and very descriptive lines. I can see that old man, and the closing stanza says so much about the importance of friends and family and how vital support and love is.

Easy to see. It is me. Thank you for reading and the comment.
Those suicide lines rarely help anyone that is really suffering and often they don't even answer the phone. They are understaffed.
The way life is set up it creates unnatural living conditions on earth that many people cannot live by. Some people know that they are being herded like Sheep and aren't allowed to graze this earth freely and humanely
Some people know everything is all wrong and do choose to exit early.
Actually they are the courageous ones. Not cowards.

Till we know the exact truth I think we should hold back negative thoughts about it and just keep loving as many as we can and loving the family left here and that's all we can do.

We can't blame ourselves, Until were dead we don't know how death works yet :-)
Ok so thats my thoughts and now lets open them dang curtains and let that fresh light in.
Too many tears and too much darkness can grow too many mushrooms :-)

Yes, John it is a sad poem but it is also filled with wisdom that old Grandpa knew of as he learned and understood life. There are far too many who never learn this and know not how to give of themselves to listen, to teach, to care, to understand.......we need so many more of them in our circle of love! May your words encourage each of those who read to reach out to help one who is hurting - it just might save a life!!!!
A very powerful write with intense emotion!!
