Just a ghost in this house

Just a ghost in this house

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just words.

Just  a ghost in this  house

Once love  was  alive and well in our home.  Laughter, song  and  the noise of the children are gone now.
Today  a deadly silence in the house.

Two stranger  rarely talk and the house became a prison.

Once lovers now barely friends. Holding on to the thread of  hope.

I wonder can love be brought back to life from the dead? Is dead love just sleeping emotion or had time stole the will and kindness
away forever?

Today two strangers share a house. Just ghost waiting for  a escape or a miracle.

This is literally the progression of my parents' relationship through my childhood. More than I like its content, I like how it made me feel something. Sad, mostly. Its something people go through all too often, but it happens.

I like the format of your work. It adds some kind of depth. Its really good work.

A beautifully sad realisation of the fragility of love and how time and life can distort. At least there is still a thread of hope, truly wonderful to read.

I believe it can but the two people must want it. Thank you Connie for reading and the comment.
This is sad, and it is sadder to find that many can relate to it. I like the structure and font you used for this poem.

i guess Thats true for most parents now a days. The kids help them hold onto their love and once they go away to pursue their dreams, all thats left is a long wait.
i think it shouldnt be like this though. Everyones got one life and they got to do what they got to do before its too late. we ourselves are in charge of our happiness so the love thats lacking needs to be brought back for a happier lifetime.
Great Poem! Thanks for sharing

I do like. A very sad tale but one that is so real. Love can die if no one is trying to keep it alive. Love is like a real living thing, it needs constant attention, or it will die like any living thing that is neglected. Love takes time and patience and always needs attention. But its only too late if both people think it is too late. Excellent poem. Very well crafted.
