The pureness of my reflection

The pureness of my reflection

                           The pureness of my reflection

Once we had the moon, the sun and the free road.
You were my footprints into wild waters and secret places upon mountain where the clouds
danced with us.

Together we fell into the carousel of wild sea.
Suicide boarding the California Winter storm than
healing body and soul together in deep thoughts and tender embrace into deep nights.

We invented new places and journey. Free-climbing high into private hills and mountains.
I remember you dancing nude by the secret waterfalls. You blessed my vision and the sun.

Today you have become my moon, my sun and my wild river.
The pureness of my reflection take me to you in sweet dreams.

I remember your short t-sheets and your commands for long massages.
You were my perfect beauty who sang songs of love to me by the Monterey sea.
I have ascended to old age and I still whisper your name in the quiet of the night.

I love you Gail. I hope you are safe and still seeking the beauty of this world.

This is no poem. This is love. I love the way how you fill the words with sympathy and compassion because genuinely, we feel it, too. You write it as if you're serenading us to the place itself and allowing us to become witnesses of the love you had with Gail along with the moon, the stars and the free road. Nice piece, Sir Coyote!

Returning to thank you for your review of my work. This is such a gentle and lyrical poem with mysterious spaces. I love the images especially in conjunction with the dreams of an old man.

Thank you Taylor. Old men like me. Reflect a lot.

Sometimes the advantage of being old is that the dream is better than the past reality!
Wow, love again? Sound nostalgia of more intensed love blended with nature. She is indeed a deep reflection of the persona's love of nature. Your really convey meaning, pictures with words. Very well articulated. Well done.

Just being honest. You are welcome.
This is beautiful. My words seem to be failing me, but incredible work Sir! The sense of love, passion, and loss all flow freely in this beautifully written piece.

What a lovely recollection of a bygone love. The love and affection she instilled in you seems to add to the reflection of your love for her. I find love to be such a precious commodity. A combination of so many things, many we would care to forget, but others we know we would remember if we were to live for all eternity. Thank you so much for sharing your love.

Thank you Dave for reading and the comment. Without the memories. Good and bad. What would we be?

Indeed! What would we be?

that is such a lovely verse Coyote. It's evident here that you care deeply for Gail. The poem honestly felt like something I shouldn't be reading (not that that is a bad thing). It seamed like something written on one of the folds of your brain. Great.

Thank you Cole for reading and the comment. Old memories become sweeter with time.
A lovely piece that transports the reader into the reality of the speaker's world so quickly it is like putting your toe in the lake and realize you are already submerged and swimming. One minor point, grammatically speaking, you should put an "are" (I hope you are safe) the rest of the minor points just add to the beauty and sincerity of the poem.
