"Sweet surrender"

"Sweet surrender"

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

A re-write

"

We must allow old wounds to heal and open new doors.

                              Sweet surrender
Love in the lost and found  box, leave us standing alone and afraid.
We are stripped of hope and promises become meaningless.

Some of us will seek shelter in the quiet of the night. Trying to untangle memories and
we will reflect on faces and places missed and needed.

The hidden places and faces dances in our head. We wish for
kisses, held tightly and never to be released.

We need sweet surrender. To be naked of fear and to be intoxicated with the glory of love.

Many kinds of love.
We must open new doors and close the old one’s.
Kind friend and lover lead me slowly into the slow dance and
the long dance. Where lover’s break us down and open  us up.
They look into our lost and found and search for things that can be saved.

Please whisper sweet words that daunt my need to love and make me anticipate new and outrageous love. Please hold me, squeeze me and love me till the morning light. Make me beg for more.

Broken glass promises are permanent scars. We must stop the bleeding
and allow the wound to heal.

All wounds will heal with time.
Even the broke in heart must surrender to love.

the last line is really beautiful..a very positive tone flies all around..through it you have described a long chapter of life..every wounded place sometime is needed to open to have the medicine which is right, sympathetic and true..many lines in this really touch the heart and mind..thanks for sharing such a sweet surrender

Well written, sound advice that's driven strongly by experience. Pouring salt on old wounds can be deadly, you can become entangled by the past and miss what the future may hold. Another great piece from you, cheers.

Quite true and you are welcome!
Oh, this is most excellent. I can relate to this piece, especially the line "trying to untangle memories and
we will reflect on faces and places missed and needed." A very bold and encouraging piece. Surrender can hurt so good, allowing healing. Great job, my friend.
