I hate you, war

I hate you, war

                              I hate you, War

Dear grandchild. I'm so sorry. I left you just blood and hate.  My father left me Vietnam and I left you in a world swimming in red blood of hate and separation.

I taught you. Be kind to all people and never look down at another person. Treat people like you want to be treated. Lead with kindness and open hands to friendship.

The old timers speak little of war. Men, who saw blood soaked glass and dirt of Europe, Africa and Asia. They know war is s**t. They tell me in sad and low voice. The great wars were support to be the last one's. What have we done? This world is a mess.

Our leaders are painting the world blood red and making the world black with hate. Do you believe the common person in the Middle East and Africa. Want war on their soil? Today great cities are gone and millions, are lost to the greed of war. The mad dogs leaders are demanding more blood and power.

Who does the world support? Terrorist don't want a victory of honor. They fight for oil and land. What is the value of a child in the way of war? What is the value of a family in the way of war?

Millions are homeless, millions are sick and millions are starving.  Great countries spend 1.2 trillion on war. Send guns to active wars. Support murderers with bombs and guns. If God is watching. He know the Devil's wish is alive and well.  Making men believe murder and war is the way to peace. It isn't. It  is the fast track to a dead-end with no winner.

I'm old now and my grandchildren have known war, every day of their life. My children have known war, every day of their life. I have known few days of peace in my lifetime.

I hate war. I joined the Army at seventeen to be like father. War taught me. No-one win in war. Who won the Korea war? Who won the Vietnam war? Who have won in the new wars still being fought?

I have seen the leftover people of war. I served food to the hungry in Asia, Europe and Africa. Their eyes beaten and sad. The poor people in the way of war pay for the hate of the few. Can we stop war??

Today I pray for good friends lost to war. I pray all the soldiers come home safe and sound. I pray we learn. Every life had value. I pray the great countries quit sending weapons of bloodshed to blood thirsty men.

Great countries are willing to teach the young people how to kill and forget to teach them how to live. Time for a billion people to demand the end of violence. Demand the great powers keep their weapons locked and secure, away from the men of terror and hate.

Remember the terrorist is where you are standing. When you send 500,000 soldiers to a foreign land. You become the terrorist.

SINCE YOU HAVE SERVED AN ARMY, YOU HAVE DEEP INSIGHTS ABOUT THE ACTUAL SITUATION OF WHAT REALLY GOES ON.
ITS SCARY HOW MEN STAY AWAY FROM THERE FAMILIES FOR MONTHS AND SERVE THEIR NATION. THEY DESERVE RESPECT AND MASSIVE HONOR FROM ALL OF US.
WE MUST MUST MUST HATE WAR AND PRAY FOR HUMANITY TO PREVAIL.
I WISH FOR A DAY WHEN THERE WILL BE NO DEFENSE FORCES IN ANY COUNTRY, VERY NATION WOULD LIVE IN PEACE AND LOVE

The drums of war never cease, much to our detriment. North Korea is now raising its sword and there are always monsters trying to find some way to carry out our destruction.

Leaders, the government and all involved are more interested in what's in it for them.

We must learn, war is not the answer. I commend you for your views, your story and your experience Coyote.

There are so many intensely true & ugly aspects you've described here, I'm feeling like barfing. Each time you write about war, it seems like you reach deeper & deeper, pulling out more & more intense details that you didn't cover the last time. Each time you are speaking my heart so loud & clear, saying the things I try to hide from in my everyday life. Your last line is a butt-kicker of truth & I'll never forget the way you put that (((HUGS)))

So full of a heart's desire for peace, even in the horrid echoes of war all around us. Yes, we need to start with peace at home, then to our neighbors, our country, and every nation we touch. Peace. Only peace. I deeply appreciate your thoughts.

Your words conveyed a strong message. For peace, peace and love.

The war is completely unnecessary, no one won in it.

'If God is watching', well He would weep. For us and because of us. He would weep for the sake of His children's.

Thank you for sharing it dear John.

Your words made me sad. As I see the same all over the world, hate and war, it makes me sad. I hope and I pray for peace.

Be safe.

Me too my friend. I hope we seek peace ASAP. Thank you for reading my dear friend.
the old man that i always see by the river when I do my walking says that each day we should catch a fish or want to, hug a tree or need to, taste some maple syrup or have to. What I think he means is that "this world is a mess", so you either better get use to it being disheveled or be one with the creator and make your own world. i love this ending.....dana

War is a walk on a tightrope of fear, anxiety and random casualties. Many innocents suffer and for what? So politicians can tally the dead and debate safe from harm. You make many pause and think with this writing. Your sentiments are written with wisdom.

Thank you Pale. I saw the dead cities and the homeless. No-one wins these wars.
We've been fighting so long that I'm not even sure what we're fighting for anymore. Always good, passionate writing.

You're very welcome.
What a great write this is, coyote!
Every word has truth in it. War can never bring peace. Only non-violence should be preached and practiced. It is always weak, innocent and poor who suffer more due to the destruction around.
Thanks for sharing this excellent piece of writing!
Hope this world one day becomes devoid of all deadly and lethal weapons.
