Baby, please stay.

Baby, please stay.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just words.

"

                                      Baby, please stay.

----------------------------
                             You and I

Once we were cigarettes, the gin and juice.
We had long nights and sweet kisses.
Once we talked till dawn.
We knew laughter and great need.
Today.
You and I.
Strangers in bed of ice.
----------------------------------

                      Some whiskey kisses
I remember you.
You never whispered love words.
Only demanding words
Break me, take me.
Make me feel wanted and needed.
Once I told you I loved you.
You gave me some whiskey kisses and you whispered.
Love is for the lucky and we are not the lucky.

Two amazing personality portraits . . . I've known each one & I've been each one. Great details to paint relatable scenes, so true-to-life. I was inspired by you again, getting back to remembering old loves, & posted a new one "Alexander Valley" -- thanks for the inspiration! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

That last line is like a kick to the groin. My one thought was didn't any of that mean anything to you?

This is a sad one Coyote and well written.

Oh how ladyluck disappears over a glass of gin.
Alcohol cures all in love. But over time.
You really need the whisky just to feel the guilt of living it.

That last line is a superb way to end this write, Coyote.

I could really relate to this one and especially that final line; it seems there are more unlucky than lucky in this world. For to be blessed with the grace of true love's touch is one of life's greatest miracles.

A very touching write, Coyote. Many a man has been asked to make a woman feel needed and wanted, only to be pushed away in the end. And that is the true tragedy of love it seems.

Another fine write, my friend.

Beautifully written as always, my friend. I love the song as well.
"You gave me some whiskey kisses and you whispered.
Love is for the lucky and we are not the lucky."
Even if it's just words, I hope it will work out :)
