                        Never left Michigan

Years ago. I wanted to see the whole world. Drink wine in Basel and Paris, dance in the streets of Florence and read poetry at Hyde Park in London.

I found four children alone with a kind women. I learn. I wasn't important. Drinking, dancing and travel man stay with sweet woman and the children taught him. Life is in the front of us.

Now old man won't drink wine in Paris or Basel. He drink kool-aid with his grandchildren. He won't dance in the streets of Florence, he dances by Lake Huron with his laughing boys. He will never see Hyde park again, he read his poetry at the Utica and Sterling Height libraries.

Traveling and rambling man never complain. He learn. Don't need everything, we just need enough. Grand-boy Jaden tell him daily. I love you Grandpa. Kind words, more than enough for me.

Give me those cute faces Coyote! I can tell by your tale of Hyde Park that the sweet woman and her four boys showed you the path where your heart was aching to go. The rhythm of the words here are like drum beats, beating out a story by firelight for listeners waiting for wisdom. Those listeners came to the right place my friend. I find wisdom every time I read your work. I send love to you and your handsome grandboys.

Thank you Jacob. I appreciate the comment.
wow another wow and nother love this I really do!
reminds me of a saying my 88 year old grandfather used to tell us all through our young lives from the time we could listen to him till we were teens till he died ""yes ive been overseas ive been on the Manly Ferry""
the suburb of manly is a beach side suburb in which city dwellers can either drive to or get a ferry
this was his saying through his life
meaning its enough
he was wise was a great man taught me a lot and your poem reminds me of you with your family your grandchildren they will remember you as being there for them memories are precious
greatpoem great read thankyou
