The Spring song

The Spring song

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Great song and some words.

"

                 The Spring song

I found her sitting alone by the lake and I sat with her.
The first day of Spring brought a sunny day and I told her.
My pretty, my sweetest wish. I miss you.
Pretty Scottish girl looked into my eyes and she whispered.
Wise woman know, never dance with the devil twice.
He will take everything from you, leave you with fatal wishes.

I kissed her face and I told her.
Men are foolish and they want everything and they want nothing.
Let's, you and I, dance for the Spring moon,
Maybe last dance? Maybe my last chance?

Pretty girl stood-up and I brought her closer.
We danced for the rising moon and the stars. She whispered.
Johnnie, you taught me love and you taught me loneliness.
You are like your father, a rolling stone, falling to unknown places.
You love "love", you don't love me. Please leave me be.

I released her and I saw soft tears falling,
I learn my Spring song.
No take-backs in love,
when you break a angel heart,
karma will repay in three-fold.

Last dance by our lake,
last goodbye kiss, my saddest day.
I never saw her beautiful face again.

Coyote - this is so beautifully written. I don't think you could have put together a better video to
accompany this write. I have always felt that there is an inexplicable tie between a slow dance and making love. I have always wondered what it would be like to really take the time and make love to the Bolero by Ravel. Thank you.

Take care - Dave

indeed life is a fine teacher John, and we all need to learn lessons to succeed.
The best thing about your poems: you convey a loving storyline . . . it's how you show two people becoming connected & involved in ways that show us: YOU yourself are a very "connected" person . . . the characters in your stories are genuinely concerned with getting to know each other . . . never a flippant or superficial encounter. You teach us how to reach out & care about other people (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you dear Poet. I appreciate the comment.
Just words? Wouldn't it be nice if that were actually true. If those who truly believe in love didn't take the words quite as seriously and didn't experience the pain that comes when reality hits that those three words were just words and not a true confession of the heart. I've experienced the loneliness that Pretty Girl spoke of. I enjoyed your work. It was an easy read. It read like a story with the heart of a poem. I enjoyed the mixture. I'm a fan.

Thank you dear Margie. When we are young. We don't know the value of true love.

I wanted to cry. It's a heavy thing to lose someone you love.
Amazing way to capture such heartache in words.

You really made me cry with this one Coyote John. Such a loving yet brutal sad tale about honesty.
