                                 Dear April

Promises of warm days was you,
April, I am waiting for the sunny days and the blooming of the Spring flowers.
You have been my December and January wishes,
dear April, please touch my face gently  with the warmth of the kind sun,
allow the Spring days to make me feel young and foolish again.
Dear April, promises of perfect days where the children can play and I can dance with the wildflowers again.
I am waiting for you.
                                   April

Lovely days, beautiful days.
Please kind April make my old bones feel alive and strong.
I need you dear April,
hard Winter made me need the sun to touch my face,
I need the warm days to warm my heart and my body,
allow the children to roam the parks and to dance with the lake.
Beautiful April,
I know the warm days are near and you will bless me with your smile.

really lovely words and theme here, Coyote...and one of my favorite S&G songs...which they did when i saw them in November of "69 at SIU Arena.
"april, come she will, when streams are ripe and filled with rain, may she will stay, resting in my arms again"

your pieces and that song mix gently.

Very true my friend 😊 you're very welcome 👍
Just words that these creaking bones and pale face couldn't agree with more, you almost caught the bunny's tail on this one Mr. coyote but i bounced away at the last second... i know you always let me go when you catch me but I hate the humiliation... but till the warm days kiss that face of yours... I send you my warm smile :)

Thank you Bad Bunny. Spring is near. Grandchildren need a park and the woods.
Across the river from you, John, so suffering through the same weather. Seems to me April is acting more like March at the moment. Could you a little sunshine and a whole lot of that global warming I keep hearing about. A few days in the 70's wouldn't hurt my feelings.

As always, a good write my friend.

oh my goodness Coyote Man..i join you in that plea ... for me friends and family suffering the April lost in the upper Midwest ... my own old home there has been surrounded by water and now i am afraid the dyke is broken .. rain and all that snow ...so harsh she is this year ... i also appreciate the metaphor and personifications in this romantic longing ... but the weather up there is heart breaking :(

Dear Coyote,

I remember your poetry very well from my old account, Ria Vero Benthil aka Vria P. Crow. Frankly, I go through hibernation similar to your seasonal delight you presented for the audience.

April is a vital month that brings Spring to our door step. Personally, I find it a painful season because there is much pain with renewal. However, after shedding your skin after winter you feel anew. Rebirth happens often in the cycle of humanity. Some individuals experience it faster than others. Women such as myself experience the change once a month according to the lunar cycle. We must not forget the past because mental scars remain; it is similar to the fading of markings on Tolkien's Ring of Power.

"Dear April" gives us hope for literal and metaphorical growth. Thank you for sharing, Coyote Poetry. I needed this read today.

Yours truly,

pleasure and true..
April is a month of warm sunshine breezes
that touch your cheek ... a time for planting
blueberries and rosebushes as well as
a Cherry tree or two... John, your poem is
fresh like romantic April showers ... truly, Pat

Thank you dear Pat. I agree.
We all need a touch of spring warmth to make us feel alive again. Spring is a most beautiful time of year Coyote.A time of rebirth and renewal. Also I am a big fan of Simon & Garfunkel. True poets. It was a pleasure to read your lines, they were uplifting and full of April promise.
