                                      A mad man prayer

I woke up with your name on my lips.

THE PHONE IS RINGING.

I dreamed you were calling me,
bringing me into the heat of your flesh.
Calling my name,
whispering words of love.

Sweet words,
just thanks for the education of the long ride.

I awoke,
sweating and filled with hate.
Not wishing to touch you,
but to hurt you, like the misery, you taught me.

I make plans to see you,
to find you.
Than the hate seem to fade away.

I prayed to be able to fall into your arms,
for you to twist up my mind and heart again.

Make me your slave again.
I would serve you,
for you are what I need.

I fall asleep again.
You come into my dreams,
you are so beautiful,
so sweet and innocence in appearance.

THE PHONE IS STILL RINGING.

I see myself,
being drowned in cement till I’m buried,
unable to breath.
I won’t cry out for help, I will watch you pour the last of the cement.

I will wait for my last breath.
You gave me a demon smile,
raised your hands.
The cement opened up for you.

You told me.
You will not die,
I’m your punishment.

You ran away from everyone,
I’m your time in hell for being a b*****d.

You will be my fool.
I will hold you as a prisoner till only a flicker
of emotion is left.

You will live till you only wish will be a trip into hell.

THE PHONE IS RINGING

I awake and I answered the phone,
I hear a sweet voice.

You whispered. Come to me now.

Love and passion can fill us with so much hatred but that doesn't mean to say that the love is no more. We are left with a bitter, resentful and confused state of being, somewhere between resentment and forgiveness, between love and hate, longing for and despising. And in the end, we risk it all over again. This is probably my favourite of yours so far Cayote.

You're welcome Coyote, and as always it was my pleasure.
WOW! WOW! And WOW! This is the most dynamic & compelling thing I've read from you lately! I love it! I felt all the ways I used to become addicted to the drama in a love situation. I felt the addiction in your words. The repeated phone ringing really adds a tension that makes this very intense! Here's hoping you & your loved ones have a Happy Easter! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I agree you're welcome my friend 😊
Dark and tortured and at love and lust's beck and call, twisting and turning in your sweat, some great lines and imagery, and still you answer the call, what's the worst that could happen, right ?

Wow, love and hate, passion and darkness. all mixed into a confusing state of oblivion. That affects you in slumber times. Eloquently and beautifully done Coyote.

my pleasure Coyote, you have a good heart.
Wow...this is really good J. Dark and desperate and sexy and wanting just like a dream should be. And the end comes through in a whisper that everything will be alright, one way or another. Loved it!

Thank you Crowley. Sometime we want what can kill us.
If love and hate did not go hand in hand, as opposite extremes of emotion.. Mr. Leonard Norman Cohen would not have written about them so often, nor named his third studio album Songs of Love & Hate...

These words tho are your words Johnnie C and what a gift of them you have made for us all to enjoy.. Powerful, strong and filled to overflowing with passion... Many thanks my friend, a superb poem... Neville

Wow this is deep and angry and out of character in terns of your more recent offerings Coyote John. Filled with images that indeed seem like bad dreams and mixed emotions of love and anger. Strange how we think when our hearts are feeling hurt.
