My great love

My great love

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Pain of love lost must disappear into the wind.

"
                    My great love

Do we support to love but once?

Where have my ancient lover's gone?

Chain of passion and spiritual journeys leave
me with kind faces in dreams.

Everlasting smiles so rare they scar my heart and mind.

Are we love victims and the heart must die?

If the bleeding is unable to stop.

I believe we need closure to allow the open wound
to fade to a scar.

I remember trembling and soft hands opening the doors
taking the chill of the cold night away.

Cold Winter and rough weather allow the comfort of
two people to find peace for a time.

I remember the comfort of long nights.
Sweet joy of love dances in early morning.
The smell of skin and twisted hair against me.

My wrath took away the sweet memories and opening
of precious love and emotion.

Now sweet love bade me welcome.
My soul cannot see the beauty that dwells in my
sweet lover's eyes.

I sit upon the sand near the Atlantic ocean.
The sea winds is blowing from east to west.

I pray to the sea to allow my spirit to be able
to run free and be clean again.

The night revealed.
Beautiful auburn hair woman come to me.
Whisper we must live to love.

We must dance with the moon and stars.
Allow the sun to open our heart to a new day and beginning.

We will have many great lovers.
Our life is long and we shall be tested.

How we always yearn for our spirit to be free..and as all the beautifully etched lines of your poems express only love can make it free...unlocking the past and floating in the present merging with it's essence.

A clean palate not tarnished by past loves that allows us to accept love openly and freely when it comes. Love is never a regret in my pages, but the past should never taint the future and thst is a harder endeavor. Yes "we must live to love"

The images you have created are lovely John, but more than that I love the soft tone of your words...as if in a dream. Beautiful writing my dear friend

Thank you Julie. Sometime we can reach sweet dreams.
To have loved so many seems like a fantasy to me. I had crushes when I was younger, but love, a couple of times and for those I consider myself fortunate. Valentine

Hi, Coyote,
I am a new poet here and don't know anyone, I got your name from the list of Top Reviewers and decided to take a look at your poems, and am I glad I did.

This is so dreamy Coyote, I love the tenderness and how your words penetrate deep into my heart finding many places rarely touched.
I love the shore and ocean and tho I like every one of your lines these are my favorites.

My hair is natural bright golden auburn and my eyes are emerald and I know you did not write this one about me, but I love it and a girl can dream.

Thank you Coyote,
Sammi xx

I appreciate you too.
This is quite awe inspiring Coyote, it's such a beautiful piece of artwork. Such emotion and depth of character here, I love every last word of this masterpiece.

'I pray to the sea to allow my spirit to be able
to run free and be clean again.'

The sea is inspiring, as is this poetry.
